Registered Nurse
Rachel Anticoli is a Registered Nurse, currently working in Hospice and Palliative Care with pediatrics, diagnosed with a variety of life-limiting illnesses. She is a Certified Pediatric Palliative Care Clinician, working in the home of a young girl, one on one, who was born with a rare neurological complex diagnosis. She also works at the first pediatric palliative care house in America, in San Leandro, California, as a Pediatric Palliative Aquatic RN. Incorporating WATSU and Aquatic Integration, allowing the warm water to provide gentle and therapeutic touch to pediatrics, age 0-25 years old, who often spend their days restricted in a bed or wheelchair.
Rachel started her nursing career at 23 years old, as an ER/Trauma RN, traveling around a variety of states, at the time, with an intention and thought of “saving the world.” Along the way, she found yoga, traveled to India, and other countries, she learned her deep connection and love to the ocean and nature in general. She was introduced to and learned breathwork, energy healing, sound healing, and many other healing and integrative modalities, slowly learning to be, heal, and find herself. She learned and continues to learn that “saving the world” starts with “saving yourself”. A little over 12 years of working in ER and trauma, feeling no longer soulfully connected to the work, she wanted more intimate, meaningful connection with others, she made a transition into hospice and palliative care. Over 6 years ago now, specifically loving pediatrics, as she feels most connected to children, as “they make the most sense” “I can relate to them.” “I learn so much from them, they are nothing but themselves.” “I also enjoy allowing the child and their family to lead.” “I now get to be human along side other humans as they are faced with something we each will one day face… Death.”
